The Intern Graphic Design will have the exciting opportunity to support efforts to increase the focus on Alcons internal and external customers both within Alcons Surgical and Vision Care franchise by working closely with the Alcon Creative Services Graphic Design team on various assigned projects.
Projects include creation of production artwork and design high quality graphics, accordingly to established guidelines, for promotional materials for use in the US and global markets.
Display creative problem-solving skills to achieve client objectives
Portfolio of existing work should demonstrate design ability and potential
Keep current with computer technology, hardware, and software
Possess an average to high degree of color acuity
Assist other designers as assigned by supervisor
Demonstrated experience and proficiency level with Macintosh OS and software including but not limited to, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
Display a high degree of professionalism, interpersonal, organizational, negotiation, presentation, teamwork, and written and oral communication skills
Prioritize and report changes in project status daily
Notify supervisor/project managers of scheduling delays or conflicts

Current student enrolled in an accredited university; Preferred field of study in Graphic Design or Design Communications
The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
No previous work experience required; previous internship experience a plus
