This position will primarily support the Director of Talent Acquisition and the Talent Acquisition Team, but will also work closely at times with other members of the HR team. This position is a fundamental part of the HR team and ensures potential, onboarding and current employees are supported with their HR inquiries and needs. The Dal-Tile HR group works as a team and celebrates their success as a team.Responsibilities:Support the new hire and on-boarding process (i. e. process new hire paperwork; background checks and drug screens; I-9 verifications; etc.). Serves as back-up for HQ new hire orientation.Provides administrative support, scheduling meetings and interviews, arranging travel, ordering supplies/catering, answering phones, drafting communications and presentations.Support the Recruiting Team and operations by scheduling interviews, coordinating travel for candidates, and drafting offer letter, etc. (support other corporate events/initiatives as needed).Process and code invoices and processes for payment as required for defined areas of support. Researches questionable invoices as necessary.Maintains compliance in areas of responsibility (hiring, SOX audits, immigration, etc). Support the Company s compliance efforts by partnering with G-Neil to ensure that all field locations are in compliance with required state and federal posting requirements. Act as the liaison between Dal-Tile and our designated provider in this area.Assists local HR team and Dal-Tile HR function by coordinating critical processes and programs (hiring, wellness initiatives, Safety function support, AAP, succession planning, performance management, postings, etc)Drives continuous improvement in the area of responsibility by streamlining or automating processes, communication, training, etc.Serves as back up for HR Coordinators in the department when needed.Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.Education and Knowledge:High School diploma or equivalent experience, degree preferred. Knowledge of HR practices and processes preferred.Experience:5 or more years of administrative experience; preferably in an HR department.Competencies:Excellent customer service skills.Confidentiality a must.Strong computer skills in spreadsheets, charts, and word-processing.Strong oral and written communication skills.Basic math skills.Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.We offer competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, career opportunities, and an environment of creativity and growth.
