The Summer Associate will have an opportunity to work in a specific department at EDP Renewables including but not limited to Human Resources, Communications, Corporate Initiatives, Engineering, Development, Records Information Management, Performance Management, Finance or Procurement. This is a 10-week full-time and paid internship that will start on June 1, 2020.
Main accountabilities: Assist in data process mapping and organization of existing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) structure Assist in report generation via Power BI and/or SQL Server Reports Services (SSRS) Creating, Improve, and troubleshoot SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) solutions Document business processes implemented by Information Technology department Garner hands-on experience through relevant projects and assignments Bring a creative and optimistic attitude to the world of renewable energy Participate in Summer Intern events and volunteerism Learn about the U.S. energy industry and apply knowledge to various projects Attend weekly ‘lunch and learn’ department presentation meetings Provide support to designated department and departmental managers Prepare a PowerPoint presentation to present results of efforts Assist in administrative tasks as needed Additional duties may be required
Minimum qualifications: Must be in the junior or senior year of undergraduate study or currently pursuing a graduate degree Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 0-2 of relevant experience Knowledge of Transact SQL infrastructure and syntax Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) software such as Power BI, SQL Server Report Services (SSRS), or Tableau
